Adding AEMP Trackers to Assets in T3

After integrating an AEMP feed with T3, a virtual tracker is created for each piece of AEMP equipment. To view the telematics data in T3, these virtual trackers must be assigned to your assets.

There are different ways to add AEMP trackers to assets in T3. Follow this guide to determine which method is best for your fleet.

Assign to an existing asset

Create a new asset

Import a large fleet of assets

For AEMP fleets with many assets, the quickest way to add and link new AEMP trackers in T3 is through a bulk upload. Use these steps.

  1. Visit your AEMP provider's online telematics portal, and download a list of your AEMP-enabled equipment as CSV file or other format. If you need help, please contact the OEM.

  2. Using spreadsheet software, copy data from the OEM's fleet list to the T3 CSV template.

    1. Ensure that each asset has an asset type listed in the ESAV6 REQUIRED asset type field of the T3 CSV. AEMP integrations are typically used for heavy equipment, so when in doubt, choose "Equipment."

    2. All other fields are optional, but we recommend copying as much detail as possible so you can more easily recognize these assets later. We suggest copying information into the following fields of the template: OPTIONAL make, OPTIONAL model, OPTIONAL serial, and OPTIONAL year. Additionally add any custom names or nicknames into the OPTIONAL asset name fields.

  3. Add tracker IDs to the OPTIONAL tracker field of the T3 CSV template according to this format: [OEM Name]-[Equipment Serial Number]. For example, JOHNDEERE-1TW372GYTCE649999. Make sure both the asset and the tracker serial numbers match.

Please use the following OEM names when creating tracker IDs in your CSV file:
    Caterpillar: VISIONLINK
    Ditch Witch: DITCHWITCH
    Hitachi: HITACHI
    Hyundai: HYUNDAI
    John Deere: JDLINK
    Komatsu: KOMTRAX
    Liebherr: LIEBHERR
    Rokbak: ROKBAK
    Takeuchi: TAKEUCHI
    Volvo: VOLVO

  4. Verify telematics data is flowing to your assets in T3.

    1. Go to Fleet -> Assets and search for an asset from the bulk import.

    2. Go to the asset's Status tab and look for data such as Fuel Level or Location.

Note: It can take anywhere from 15–60 minutes for the first telematics data to show up, depending on the integration.
