Hardware acceleration is a process where applications offload certain tasks to hardware in your system, especially to accelerate that task. Enabling hardware acceleration helps improve the overall user experience in T3, particularly when using the map function. Below is how you can ensure your browser is enabled for hardware acceleration.

Google Chrome

  • From a Google Chrome browser, select the three vertical dot ellipses in the top right corner.

  • Select Settings.

  • Select System in the left panel. Ensure the Use hardware acceleration when available is enabled.

  • Click Relaunch to apply the change.

Safari

For older Mac versions, use the following instructions to verify hardware acceleration.

  • From a Safari browser, select Safari from the menu bar and then Settings.

  • Select Advanced at the top.

  • Ensure the Use graphics acceleration when available is enabled.

Microsoft Edge

  • From a Microsoft Edge browser, select the three vertical dot ellipses in the top right corner.

  • Select Settings.

  • Select System and performance.

  • Ensure the Use graphics acceleration when available is enabled.
