Create and Manage a T3 API Key

Account owners can create T3 API keys directly in T3 Fleet. These keys can be used to connect fleet data to your systems and third-party applications.

Create an API key

  • Sign in to T3 Fleet as an account owner.

  • Open T3 Fleet > Integrations.

  • Select Create Key.

  • Follow the prompts to create and name your API key by entering the Key name and selecting Create key.

  • Select the copy icon. Store the key securely and provide it only to authorized members of your technical team.

Follow the T3 API developer documentation to authenticate requests and connect your integration.

Key expiration

Self-serve API keys expire one year after creation unless they are revoked sooner. The expiration date and current status are shown in the T3 Integrations page.

Automated expiration reminders are not currently available. Track the displayed expiration date and replace the key before it expires to prevent an interruption to your integration.

Replace an API key

When replacing a key:

  1. Create a new API key.

  2. Update your integration with the new key.

  3. Test the integration to confirm it is working.

  4. Revoke the previous key after testing is complete.

When switching from legacy credentials to a self-serve API key, contact Support after the new key has been tested. Support will coordinate the removal of the legacy credentials.

Do not include API keys, client IDs, client secrets, or other credential values in the support request. Avoid disabling working credentials before the replacement has been tested.

Existing API credentials

Existing credentials will continue to work according to their current lifecycle. No migration or changes to an existing integration are required.

Protect your credentials

Treat API keys like passwords. Do not include API keys, client secrets, tokens, passwords, or authorization headers in support requests, screenshots, sample requests, or logs.

If you believe a key has been exposed, revoke it, create a replacement, and contact Support.
