Creating and Managing a Group

Instructions on how to create, manage, and remove a Group in T3 for organizing assets, users, and geofences.

A Group, created by a Manager, Owner, or Admin role combines assets, users, and geofences based on company needs. 

For example, you can create a group of assets that will be used on a job site (Geofence) and assign users who will be working on that job site. Those assigned users will have viewing access to the assets and Geofence within their Group in T3. 

Creating a New Group

  • Select Company from the left navigation menu in T3 Fleet

  • Select Groups tab (at the top). 

  • Select Create group

  • Enter the Group Name and select Create group

  • The Group has been created and will appear in the Group dropdown field. 

Adding Assets to a Group

Adding assets to a group means only members of that group will be able to view the assets that are in the same group in T3. The asset must already exist in T3.

  • Select Company from the left navigation menu in T3 Fleet.

  • Select the Groups tab.

  • Select the Assets tab.

  • Select a Group from the dropdown options.

  • From the Ungrouped Assets table, locate the asset to add to a group. Click the + icon to add the asset to the group.

  • Once the assets have been added to the group, click Save assets to group.

  • The assets are now assigned to the group!

Adding Users to a Group

Before you can assign users to a group, a group and users must already exist within T3.

  • Select Company from the left navigation menu of T3 Fleet.

  • Select the Groups tab.

  • Make sure the Users option is selected.

  • Locate the group for adding users by selecting from the Group dropdown field.

  • From the Ungrouped Users section on the left, click the + icon next to a user to add them to the group.

  • Select Save Users To Group once completed.

  • Your users have been saved to a group!

Adding Geofences to a Group

Before you can assign a geofence to a group, it must first exist in T3.

  • Select Company from the left navigation menu of T3 Fleet.

  • Select the Groups tab.

  • Make sure the Geofences option is selected.

  • Locate the group for adding users by selecting from the Group dropdown field.

  • From the All Geofences section on the left, click the + icon next to a geofence to add them to the group.

  • Select the Save geofences to group button once you are done.

  • The geofences will be saved to the group.

Deleting a Group

  • Select Company from the left navigation menu of T3 Fleet.

  • Select the Groups tab.

  • Select a Group from the dropdown list.

  • Select Manage Group.

  • Select Delete.
