Updating and Revising Logs in E-Logs Mobile App

Instructions on how to revise and update logs in the E-logs app.

Drivers can make revisions to their recorded logs using the E-Logs mobile app. Keep in mind that only drivers can make revisions to their logs. Their manager can suggest revisions to their logs, and drivers can accept or reject them. The ELD will automatically capture any unassigned logs, which can be reviewed by the driver and accepted or rejected.

Revising A Driver's Time

  • Open the E-Logs mobile app.

  • From the Dashboard, select Logs at the bottom. 

  • Select the log for editing. 

  • Select the Revise Time or Work button. 

  • Select a status to edit.

  • From the Revise time or work screen, select a new Duty Status, adjust the start and end time, and click Save

  • Your revision is complete.

Reviewing Suggested Revisions from a Manager

  • Open the E-Logs mobile app from your smartphone device.

  • From the Dashboard, select Logs along the bottom.

  • Select the log for editing.

  • Select the Revisions tab, which will display any suggested edits from a manager.

  • Review to reject or accept the logs.

Reviewing Unassigned Logs Captured by the ELD

An unassigned log is a movement captured by the paired tracking device that has not been assigned by the driver. This can be due to a system outage or the driver not being logged into the E-Logs mobile app while the vehicle is moving.

  • Open the E-Logs mobile app from your smartphone device.

  • From the Dashboard, select Logs along the bottom.

  • Select the Unassigned Logs tab.

  • Review the logs and accept or reject them.
