After an installation is completed through the T3 Install App, the Setup Queue lets you review newly created assets and devices linked to existing assets. Use it to confirm asset details, resolve possible duplicates, and check that devices are assigned to the correct assets.
Open the Setup Queue
Open the Assets page in T3.
Locate the Assets need review banner.
Select Review [number] assets to open the Setup Queue.
The banner appears when assets need review following an installation through the T3 Install App.
The Setup Queue includes two types of review:
Tab | What to review |
Unverified | New assets created through the Install App. Review their details, add information, and resolve possible duplicates. |
Matched | Existing assets that were automatically linked to a device during installation. Confirm that the device was linked to the correct asset. |
Review an unverified asset
The Install App collects the information needed to create an asset during installation. You can use the Setup Queue to add details the installer may not know, such as a reporting designation, driver assignment, or notes.
Unverified assets are already available in T3. They appear in the Assets table and map asset list, can appear on the map when location data is available, and can be used for work orders. The unverified status indicates that the asset still needs review.
Review and update asset details
In the Setup Queue, open the Unverified tab.
Find the asset you want to review.
Open its Actions menu and select View details.
Review the information on the asset’s Edit tab.
Add or correct information as needed, then save your changes.
Select Activate unverified asset.
Activating the asset marks it as reviewed and removes it from the Unverified queue.
Review a possible duplicate
An unverified asset may display a Possible duplicate indicator when T3 finds similar identifying information on an existing asset, such as a matching VIN.
Select the Possible duplicate indicator, or open the asset’s Actions menu and select Review possible duplicate.
Compare the new asset with the suggested existing assets.
Review the identifying information shown for each potential match.
For each suggested asset, choose whether it is a duplicate.
Dismiss a potential duplicate
If the records represent different assets:
Select Not a duplicate.
Confirm your selection.
Review any remaining potential duplicates.
Resolve a duplicate
If the records represent the same asset:
Select Resolve for the correct existing asset.
Review the field comparison.
Select the values you want to carry over from the newly created record.
Select Confirm.
Fields that already match are disabled because no selection is needed. Where values differ or information is missing, you can select which available values to retain.
Resolving the duplicate merges the records so the installation information is associated with the existing asset.
Review an automatically matched asset
During installation, T3 may identify an existing asset using information collected through the Install App, such as a VIN. When a match is found, T3 can link the device to that asset instead of creating a new record.
These assets appear in the Matched tab for review.
Confirm the match
Open the Matched tab in the Setup Queue.
Find the asset you want to review.
Open its Actions menu and select Review Match.
Review the asset information and device association.
If the device is linked to the correct asset, select Confirm match.
The match is accepted, and the device remains assigned to the existing asset.
Correct an incorrect match
If the device was linked to the wrong asset:
From the match review screen, select Wrong asset.
Choose the appropriate correction:
Option | When to use it |
Reassign to an existing asset | The correct asset already exists in T3. Select that asset and review which information to carry over before reassigning the device. |
Create a new asset | The installation should have created a separate asset. Use the information collected during installation to create the new record. |
Unlink the device | The device should be removed from the matched asset without assigning it to another asset. |
Follow the prompts to complete your selected correction.
After your review
Reviewed items are removed from the Setup Queue. Your assets remain available on the Assets page, where you can view their details and device assignments.
