Only a Manager or Owner role can add assets to a company portal. The assets can be added individually or in a CSV format. Use the CSV method if you upload multiple assets to your T3 platform.
Adding a Single Asset
Open the T3 Fleet web app and select Assets or Inventory from the left menu.
Select the Add Asset button and then Single Asset.
Complete the Add New Asset form in three easy steps.
Step 1.
Select the Asset Type as equipment, vehicle, bucket, trailer, attachment, or small tool. This field is required.
Note: When selecting a vehicle, enter the VIN and the data will be validated using a universal database. If available, the vehicle's make, model, and year will automatically populate in Step 2 after selecting Next.
Step 2.
Enter information such as name, details, categorization, utilization, and assignment. For a description of each field, see the Asset Field Definitions section. These fields are optional. For assistance with the Tracker assignment, see Tying an Asset to a Tracker Device. For assistance with Camera assignment, see Assigning a T3 Dash Cam to an asset. Select Next to continue.
Note: If the Category or Class doesn't exist in the system, select Add Category or Add Class, enter the details, and select Save.
Step 3.
Review the asset and make any updates before saving it to the system. Go back and edit any details directly from the review section. Select Submit once you are ready.
Adding Asset Photos
Once the asset is added to the system, you will be prompted with a page to Add Additional Asset Details. You can add up to six photos, with no size limitations, and in .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .gif, and .heic format.
From the Add Photos section, drag and drop or select the photo uploader to add multiple photos of the asset.
The first photo added will be the Primary photo of the asset, displayed throughout T3. To update the Primary photo select the three ellipses in the top corner of the uploaded photo and select Set as primary.
The photos will save automatically! No need to hit save.
Note: To update or add any new photos to the existing asset, you'll need to navigate to the Edit page. From the Map view, select the asset, the Details button, and then Edit.
Adding Asset Files
Once the asset is added to the system, you will be prompted with a page to Add Additional Asset Details. You can add up to six files with no size limitations.
From the Add Files section, drag and drop or select the file uploader to add multiple files.
The files will save automatically! No need to hit save.
To open the files, select the File Name, and it will download for you to view.
Note: To update or add any new files to the existing asset, you'll need to navigate to the Edit page. From the Map view, select the asset, the Details button, and then Edit.

Reasons for Upload Error
-Not providing a required header/field.
-Uploading invalid Make, Model, Tracker, or Equipment Make fields.
-Using a duplicate Custom ID.
-Leaving the Model and Custom Model fields blank.
-Attempting to create a Class with a name already used by another custom Class in a different Category.
-Specifying a Color Coding value that is not in the presets.
-Entering an Equipment Model or Equipment Serial Number when the associated Equipment Make field is left empty.
The assets are added to your company's T3 portal upon successful upload and are found in the assets table.
