T3 Fleet users are assigned a role depending on their permissions level. Owners and Managers can assign roles.

User-Level Role

A User-level has a limited level of permissions. A User role is given their login and can see the assets assigned to them through Groups. They cannot access the Company page, Alerts, or Invoices in T3 Fleet and T3 Time Cards web app unless they are in their company's Time Card Admin group.

Note: If using the Work Order system, a user-level role must be assigned to a Work Order to close it.

Additionally, a Manager or Owner can enable permission settings for the User-Level role.

  • Enable the Read-Only User checkbox to allow the user to “view-only” throughout the company’s T3 portal. They will not be allowed to make additions and edits.

    • Important note: DO NOT USE this setting for users who need access to the E-Logs mobile app. Enabling this setting will remove the user's access to the E-Logs mobile app.

  • Enable the Can Rent to allow the user the authority to reserve rentals.

Enable the Hide Assets Details checkbox to hide the Asset > Details page.

Important: Asset details will be hidden only on the T3 web platform, not the Link mobile app. The asset's location icon will remain on the map and the geofences page in the T3 and Link mobile apps.

Manager-Level Role

A Manager has unlimited viewable permissions. They can see all assets, add new users, and can edit the Manager, User, and Driver roles, and can delete Users and Drivers.

Permission settings can be enabled for the Manager-Level role by an Owner or Manager.

  • Enable the Hide Assets Details checkbox to hide the Asset > Details page.

  • Enable the Can Read Asset Financial Records to allow the user to see financial records for your assets as found under Company > Finances.*

  • Enable the Can Create Asset Financial Records to allow the user to create financial records in your company’s T3 platform as found under Company > Finances.*

  • Enable the Can Access Camera Media to allow the user to view camera footage for camera-enabled assets.*

  • Enable the Can Grant Permissions to allow the user to enable another Manager or Admin with the same permissions the manager is granted.

    • For example, suppose an Owner has selected Can Grant Permissions for a Manager and the Can Create Asset Financial Records option is set. In that case, the Manager can only grant other Managers or Admins access to Can Create Asset Financial Records.

*An Owner-Level role grants these options.

Owner-Level Role

An Owner has unlimited viewable permissions. They can see all assets, add new users, edit the Manager, User, Owner, and Driver roles, and delete Users, Drivers, and Managers

Driver-Level Role

A Driver role is an E-Logs driver. Drivers can log into the E-Logs mobile app. They can see their Hours of Service and submit DVIRs.

Use the Verified E-Logs Driver setting to appoint your driver as Active or Inactive.

  • Active E-Logs Driver: This user is a current driver for your company and will have access to the E-Logs mobile app.

  • Inactive/Former E-Logs Driver: Use this setting to "deactivate" a former driver from your T3 E-Logs platform. Once enabled, the user cannot access the E-Logs mobile app. However, the user will have access to the T3 Time Cards web app if appropriate. The user's role can be modified based on their job function.

Note: The user can be reactivated as an E-Logs driver if needed. Making a driver Inactive does not deactivate the user.

Important note: DO NOT USE the Read-Only setting for users who need access to the E-Logs mobile app. Enabling this setting will remove the user's access to the E-Logs mobile app.

If the assigned role needs to be changed or edited, please see your company Manager or Owner
