Drivers can be assigned to assets directly in the T3 Fleet web app and across various sources, including the Link mobile app, E-Logs, and Dash Cam Facial Recognition. Once added, the driver assignment for the assigned asset will be visible throughout T3.
This article focuses on assigning drivers in the T3 Fleet and Link mobile app.
Important Notes:
E-Logs assignments take precedence over all other sources.
Dash Cam and Facial Recognition assignments are available only to T3 Dash Cam customers.
Driver assignments use two fields:
Default Driver – a manually assigned fallback driver for the asset.
Current Driver – a system-controlled field that updates in real time when a driver is detected through E-Logs or Dash Cam facial recognition.
When an E-Logs or Facial Recognition trip ends, the system automatically reverts to the asset’s Default Driver (if one is set).
