Setting up Permissions for T3 Dash Cam Visibility and Functionality

Instructions for setting up permissions to T3 Dash Cam viewing and functionality.

Only Owners and Manager-level roles will have visibility to the Camera page in T3 Fleet web app. Owners can grant Managers access to camera media. Managers can NOT grant camera access unless they've been given Can Grant Permissions by the Owner.

Enabling Access to T3 Camera Page and Camera Media

  • Open the Company page in the T3 Fleet web app.

  • Select Users.

  • Find the user and then select the ellipsis (far right) and select Edit.

  • Scroll to the Roles and Permissions section.

  • Check the box next to Can Access Camera Media.

  • Save the changes. The user can now access the Camera page in the T3 Fleet web app.

Assigning a Role for a Camera Page User

The user must have Admin-level permissions to assign user roles on the Camera page. The various roles that can be assigned are:

Roles (expand the arrow to see all the roles)

Default Access

The Default Access permission is for a user with the most restricted access to view the Camera page.

  • Users who may benefit from this access: Site Foreman, Field Technician, Office Staff

  • Permissions

    • View Cameras

    • View Camera Events

    • Live Stream

    • Historical Streaming

Default Access w/ Coaching

The Default Access w/ Coaching permission is designed for users with limited access to the camera tab capabilities while still allowing them to view the coaching center and behavior scorecard.

  • Users who may benefit from this access: Supervisors, Lead Team Members, Quality Control Personnel

  • Permissions

    • View Cameras

    • Behavior Scorecard

    • Coaching Center

    • View Camera Events

    • Live Stream

    • Historical Streaming

Manager

The Manager permission grants access to critical functionalities. This comprehensive set of permissions ensures effective oversight and management of camera operations.

  • Users who may benefit from this access: Project Manager, Operations Manager, Safety Officer

    • View Camera Events

    • Live Stream

    • Historical Streaming

    • Delete Events

Owner w/ Coaching

Owners w/ Coaching can customize scorecard settings and manage groups, ensuring a holistic approach to oversight and coaching within the system. This role offers the broadest range of permissions available. (Note: Unlike T3 Owner Permissions, “Owner w/Coaching” can be applied to multiple users.)

  • Users who may benefit from this access: Company Owner, Executive Leadership, Safety Director

    • Coaching Center

    • Coaching Center - Management View

    • View Camera Events

    • Live Stream

    • Historical Streaming

    • Delete Events

    • Vehicles

    • Assign Drivers

    • Alerts and Notifications

    • Drivers

    • Score Card Settings

    • Groups Management

  • Open the Camera page in the T3 Fleet web app.

  • Select the Settings button at the bottom of the page.

  • In the Settings window, select Vehicle Dashcams Users.

  • Find the driver you want to update and select their name.

  • Select a role from the Select User Roles field and select Apply.

  • Select Save Changes to update the user's role.

Customizing User Permissions

  • Open the Camera page in the T3 Fleet web app.

  • Select the Settings button at the bottom of the page.

  • In the Settings window, select Vehicle Dashcams Users.

  • Find the driver you want to update and select their name.

  • In the Permissions Settings section, select Select User Roles to check which permissions you want your vehicle dashcam users to view.

  • Select Save Changes once you are done.
