Creating T3 Dash Cam Alerts in T3

Instructions on how to set up T3 Dash Cam real-time alerts in the T3 Camera page.

T3 Dash Cam alerts are derived from Driver Behavior Events or System Events from the camera. These alerts are separate from the Fleet Alerts in the T3 Alerts page, and can only be managed via the T3 Camera page. Subsequently, T3 Dash Cam alerts do not appear in the Alert Activity Reports in T3 Analytics.

Creating a T3 Dash Cam Alert

  • Open the T3 Camera page from the T3 Fleet web app.

  • Select Settings at the bottom left.

  • Select Alerts from the left side.

  • A list of available alerts will be displayed. Select the + icon next to the alert you'd like to create.

  • For Driver Behavior and System Events, select the events to which you want to be alerted. The following are recommended alerts:

    • Driver Behavior Events

      • SOS, Driver Smoking, Camera Covered.

    • For Camera Unplugged

      • Choose the applicable Groups/Vehicles to which you wish to apply the alert and assign the appropriate recipients.

    • For Low Voltage

      • Enter the desired voltage threshold.

  • For each alert, enter the email or phone number of all recipients who will receive the alert.

    • Note: When entering a phone number, it must be without dashes, such as 8165553737.

  • Select Save Changes.

  • The alert is now created!

Special Considerations

  • T3 Dash Cam alerts are separate from T3 Fleet alerts (as set up on the T3 Alerts page).

  • T3 Dash Cam alerts do not have reporting functionality to show frequency.

  • When setting up an alert, please make sure you have entered the recipient's phone number and/or email address. These are not populated from T3 user information.

  • Creating an alert for all Driver Behavior or System Events is not recommended.
