Search, Filter, and Manage Assets on the Assets Page

Instructions on how to find and manage assets on the T3 Assets page.

Updated yesterday

The T3 Assets page brings asset viewing and management into a single, streamlined workspace. From one place, users can search, refine, and take action on assets across the fleet.

Searching for Assets

The Assets page includes a simplified search bar designed to help locate assets using familiar identifiers.

Global Search

Use the global search field at the top of the page to look up assets by:

  • Product name

  • Asset description

  • Make or model

  • Serial number or VIN

  • System ID

  • Other key asset details

The search automatically scans all available asset data and returns matching results in real time.

Using Filters

Filters appear prominently across the top of the page, allowing users to refine asset lists without navigating away or opening additional panels.

Available Filters

Assets can be filtered by:

  • Manufacturer

  • Model

  • Year

  • Groups

  • Ownership

  • Service Status (Soft Down, Hard Down, Needs Inspection, or No Status)

  • Legacy Category

  • Legacy Class

  • Legacy Branch

Select one or multiple filters to narrow results. Filters can be removed individually to broaden the view.

Customizing Columns

Use Manage Columns to configure the table to match your workflow.

Up to 17 data points can be shown or hidden, including:

  • License plate

  • Serial number

  • VIN

  • Service status

  • Ownership

  • Location

  • And more

Using the column manager, you can:

  • Pin or unpin columns to lock them to the far left

  • Drag and drop columns to change display order

  • Check or uncheck columns to control visibility

Columns can also be sorted, pinned, or rearranged directly from the table header.

Grouping Assets

Use Group By in the top-right corner of the table to organize assets into structured sections.

Assets can be grouped by:

  • None

  • Category

  • Reporting Designation

  • Legacy Category

  • Legacy Class

When grouping is applied, the table organizes assets into collapsible sections based on the selected value.

For example:

  • Grouping by Category displays assets organized under each category.

  • Grouping by Reporting Designation clusters assets by their reporting structure.

Select None to return to the standard flat table view.

Grouping does not change asset data. It only changes how results are displayed.

Allocate, On-Rent, and Make Available

Asset availability can be managed directly from the Assets table using the Actions menu.

Allocate and Make Available

Allocate and Make Available update the asset’s Availability Status.

  • Allocate marks the asset as unavailable.

  • Make Available marks the asset as available.

  • These are manual status updates.

  • Allocating an asset does not place it On-Rent or initiate rental workflows.

This allows you to signal availability without creating a rental.

On-Rent

On-Rent places an asset into an internal rental.

The ability to on-rent depends on company configuration and asset service status.

When an asset is placed On-Rent:

  • The system automatically sets the Availability Status to Allocated.

  • The Availability Status cannot be manually changed while the asset is On-Rent.

On-Rent impacts rental workflows and enforces allocation automatically.

Key Difference

  • Allocate is a manual availability designation.

  • On-Rent is a rental action that overrides availability.

Table Actions

Additional actions are available from the top-right corner of the table:

  • Export all asset data or only the filtered view

  • Access the Archived Assets table (see Archiving and Restoring an Asset)

  • Navigate to Category and Class pages for further setup or management
