Privacy mode is a feature offered with T3 Dash Cams, which allows drivers/operators to temporarily disable the driver-facing camera while parked or in a stationary position. When in Privacy Mode, any footage normally gathered by AI to detect driver behavior will not be generated. This means that historical footage and live-stream capabilities will be unavailable during the duration of Privacy Mode. In-cab audio alerts are also disabled when a camera is in Privacy Mode.

How to Enable Privacy Mode

To enable Privacy Mode on T3 Dash Cams, follow the steps provided below:

  • Ensure that the vehicle is stationary.

  • Locate the SOS button on the driver-facing side of the camera.

  • Hold down the SOS button for 5 SECONDS, then release.

After holding down the SOS button for 5 seconds and letting go, the camera will automatically enable Privacy Mode followed by an audible alert. From this point on, all driver-facing footage and in-cab audio will be disabled.
