T3 Dash Cam settings can be configured globally across all cameras in your fleet or at the individual vehicle level, giving you granular control over how the T3 Dash Cam behaves for each vehicle in your fleet.
How to Modify Company-Wide T3 Dash Cam Settings
Open the T3 Camera page, select the Settings tab.
Select Vehicle Dashcams Settings.
This will open the settings interface where you can adjust camera settings across all vehicles in your T3 Account. Modify the settings and click save when you have finished.
Note: Changes to dash cam settings will update on each device’s next network connection. This may take up to 24 hours to apply but is usually much quicker. For example, enabling microphone functionality or in-cab audio recording typically requires this time frame to ensure proper synchronization. Unfortunately, this process cannot be expedited, so it is recommended to test the functionality only after the 24-hour period has elapsed.
How to Override Individual T3 Dash Cam Settings
If you want to override the company level dash cam settings, you can do so for individual cameras.
Open the T3 Camera page, select the Settings tab.
Navigate to the “Vehicles” section.
Open the Vehicle Profile for the vehicle you want to configure.
Click the FleetCam Settings Configure button.
This will open the T3 Dash Cam settings screen specific to that vehicle, where you can adjust camera settings independently from your fleet-wide defaults.
Note: A purple Vehicle badge next to an individual setting means the vehicle is overriding company settings. Any settings with the Company badge will default to the global company settings.
To restore the global company dash cam settings on a vehicle, click Reset All To Defaults near the bottom right of the window.
Best Practices for Managing Settings Changes
Plan Ahead: If you need to enable specific settings, plan for the 24-hour propagation period to avoid disruptions.
Test After Propagation: Once the 24-hour period has passed, test the functionality to confirm that the changes have been successfully applied.
Contact Support if Issues Persist: If the settings do not take effect after 24 hours, reach out to customer support for assistance.
