Within the Fleet web app of T3, saving a location for an asset is especially beneficial for assets that do not have a tracking device or assets that primarily stay in low service areas (such as warehouses, shops, under bridges, etc.).

Once the manually-created location is saved, it will display in the asset's card details in the asset list view and also be available when hovering over the asset on the map in the Fleet browser app.

Important Notes

  • The asset's tracking device will always supersede a manually added location, Meaning if the asset has a tracking device and is in a low-service area, the manual location will display until the tracking device picks up a location and communicates to T3. Then the tracking device location will display.

  • The Fleet browser app will indicate if the location is Manual vs Tracking Device.

  • Once the location is saved, it may take a few minutes for the location to display throughout the Fleet browser app. Refreshing the page will help.

Setting an Asset's Manual Location

  • Log into T3's Fleet web app.

  • Select Map from the left menu.

  • Locate the asset for which you'd like to set the manual location.

  • Select View more details in the Vehicle Details section.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Asset form to see the Set Location section.

  • You can set the location one of two ways.

    • Select the Place Pin button to drop a marker onto the map of the manual location. Use the zoom-in tool on the bottom right of the map to precisely find a location using the pin drop.

  • Or type the address on the top left navigation box and press Enter.

  • Select the Save Location button. The street address, city, state, and Zip Code will display below the map and the asset's marker will save to the manual set location.
