The Dash Cam Events page makes it easy to review, filter, and organize safety events captured by dash cameras. Events can be filtered by driver, asset, date range, event type, and asset group, with real-time event counts updating as filters are applied.
Accessing Dash Cam Events
Navigate to T3 > Camera. The Events tab will display.
Filtering Events
Filter by Driver or Asset
Use the panel on the left side to quickly filter events by Driver or Asset.
Toggle between Driver and Asset at the top of the panel.
Use the search field to quickly find a specific driver or asset. Once selected, only those driver or asset's events will display in the table view.
Select one or more assets or drivers to apply filters.
Use the Sort icon to sort options include:
Most Events
Least Events
A–Z
Z–A
Optional filter: Has events to show only drivers or assets with recorded events.
How counts work:
The number shown next to each driver or asset reflects how many events match the currently selected filters. These counts update automatically as filters are added or removed.
Filter by Date Range
Use the date picker at the top of the page to limit events to a specific timeframe. The system will default to the previous week.
Select a custom date range.
All event counts and groupings update based on the selected range.
Filter by Event Type
Select Event Type to filter by specific dash cam events. Each event type reflects a behavior the dash cam has detected for your review. Multiple event types can be selected at once. Event totals update in real time based on selections.
Filter by Asset Group
Select Asset Group to view events for specific groups of assets. Use the search to locate a group.
Asset groups must be created and managed in T3 > Company.
Assets can belong to multiple groups.
See Managing Asset Groups to set up or edit asset groups.
When asset groups are applied, events are filtered to only assets within the selected groups, and all event counts update accordingly.
Grouping Events
Use the Group By dropdown to organize the event list:
Date
Driver
Asset
Asset Group
Event Type
Grouping controls how events are summarized and displayed in the main panel.
How grouping affects counts:
Each group shows a total event count based on the active filters.
Expanding a group reveals individual events that match the selected criteria.
Changing the group by option recalculates and redistributes event totals accordingly.
Show Non-Video Events
Use Show Non-Video Events to include events that do not automatically have associated video footage among the video events. No video footage can occur for two reasons:
The event is configured to not include video uploads.
The event type already includes 5 videos (which is the max) for the specific asset in a day.
This option is not selected by default. The video can be fetched from the Legacy view.
Once events are filtered, they can be reviewed in grouped or list views. For more information, see Reviewing Dash Cam Events in T3.
