Driver Safety reports provide insight into recorded safety events across your fleet. Use the Fleet Safety Report to identify trends, compare event volume across branches, drivers, and assets, and understand which event categories occur most often.
From the Fleet Safety Report, you can also open an Individual Driver Safety Report for a closer look at one driver's event history and how their results compare with company and branch averages.
Reports can be filtered, exported, saved, and scheduled for recurring delivery, making it easier to monitor safety activity and identify coaching opportunities over time.
Note: Driver Safety reports are available to T3 Dash Cam customers.
Common use cases
Use Driver Safety reports to:
Identify high-risk areas by seeing which branches, drivers, assets, or event types have the highest number of recorded safety events.
Monitor fleet-wide safety trends by adjusting the date range and comparing event activity over time.
Prioritize coaching opportunities by reviewing drivers with frequent safety events and opening their individual reports.
Understand event distribution by reviewing which safety event groups and individual event types occur most often.
Compare driver performance with company and branch averages.
Export data for additional analysis or to share safety metrics with managers and stakeholders.
Save and schedule reports to monitor the same report configuration over time.
Access the Fleet Safety Report
Navigate to Driver Safety.
Select the Reports tab.
If needed, click Select report and choose Fleet Safety Report.
Filter the report
Use the filters at the top of the page to customize the report.
Filter | Description |
Date Range | Select the time period to include in the report. |
Event Type | Filter results to one or more safety event types. |
Branch | View data for specific branches. |
Asset Group | Limit results to selected asset groups. |
The report updates automatically as filters are applied. All metrics, charts, tables, and exports reflect the selected filters.
Fleet Safety Report overview
Fewest Recorded Events
Displays the branch, driver, and event type with the fewest recorded events for the selected filters.
Use this section to identify branches, drivers, or event types with minimal recorded safety activity.
Most Recorded Events
Displays the branch, driver, and event type with the most recorded events for the selected filters.
Use this section to identify areas that may require additional review, coaching, or safety initiatives.
Fleet summary metrics
The summary row provides a snapshot of fleet-wide safety activity for the selected filters, including:
Unassigned events
Total events
Named drivers
Assets
Branches
Average events per named driver
Fleet Rollup by Event Group
The Fleet Rollup by Event Group chart displays the total number of recorded events by safety event category. The table below the chart shows the total events, severity rank, and event types included in each group.
Event groups include:
Serious & Urgent: Pedestrian Detection Warning
Near Miss: Following Distance Warning, Forward Collision Warning, and Harsh Braking
Speeding: 5-10 MPH Over Speed Limit, 10-20 MPH Over Speed Limit, 20+ MPH Over Speed Limit, Over Speed Limit, and High Speed
Harsh Driving: Harsh Accelerating and Harsh Cornering
Policy: Camera Covered, Driver Smoking, No Seat Belt, and Stop Sign
Distraction: Driver Distracted and Driver Using Cell Phone
Fatigue: Yawning
Click Export (.csv) to download the event group data for the selected filters.
What Kinds of Events Show Up Most
Displays individual event types ranked by total event count during the selected period. Use this chart to identify the specific driving behaviors or safety events occurring most frequently across the fleet.

Which Branches Have the Most Safety Events
Displays branches ranked by total recorded safety events during the selected period. Use this chart to compare event volume across locations and identify branches that may need additional review.
Use the dropdown in the module heading to adjust the branch view when additional options are available. Click Export (.csv) to download the branch data for the selected filters.
Drivers with the Most Events
Displays drivers ranked by total recorded safety events. Focus Areas highlight the event categories with the most incidents for each driver.
Switch between Table and Chart to change the view, or click Export (.csv) to download the driver data for the selected filters.
Select a driver's name in the table to open their Individual Driver Safety Report.
Assets with the Most Events
Displays assets ranked by total recorded safety events during the selected period. Use this section to identify assets associated with high event volumes and determine whether further review is needed.
Switch between Table and Chart to change the view, or click Export (.csv) to download the asset data for the selected filters.
View an Individual Driver Safety Report
The Individual Driver Safety Report provides a detailed view of one driver's recorded safety events and compares their event counts with company and branch averages.
To open the report:
Navigate to Driver Safety.
Select the Reports tab.
Open the Fleet Safety Report.
Locate Drivers with the Most Events.
Select a driver's name.
Filter the driver report
Use Date Range, Event Type, Branch, and Asset Group filters to adjust the report. The report updates automatically as filters are applied.
Driver summary
Three tiles at the top of the report provide a quick overview:
Rank: The driver's ranking within the company based on total recorded events. A rank of #1 represents the driver with the most events.
Top Category: The event group with the highest number of events.
Most Common Single Event: The individual event type recorded most often.
Driver Rollup by Group Type
The Driver Rollup by Group Type chart and table compare the driver's event counts with the Company Average across the safety event groups listed above.
Driver Rollup by Event Type
The Driver Rollup by Event Type chart and table provide a more detailed breakdown by individual event type. The report compares the driver's event counts with the Company Average and the applicable Branch Average.
If the driver's events involve assets from multiple branches, the report displays a separate Branch Average for each branch.
How driver benchmarks are calculated
Company Average
For each event type, the total number of events across the company is divided by the number of distinct drivers company-wide who have recorded any events.
Company Average = Total company events / Distinct drivers with events
Branch Average
For each event type, the total number of events associated with the branch is divided by the number of distinct drivers in that branch who have recorded any events.
Branch Average = Total branch events / Distinct drivers with events in the branch
The branch is determined by the asset involved in each event, not the driver's assigned branch. If the driver's events involve assets from multiple branches, the report displays a separate Branch Average for each branch.
% vs Branch
The % vs Branch column shows how far the driver's event count is above or below the Branch Average.
% vs Branch = (Driver event count - Branch Average) / Branch Average
The result is displayed as a percentage:
A positive percentage means the driver recorded more events than the branch average. Positive results are highlighted in red because a higher event count is unfavorable.
A negative percentage means the driver recorded fewer events than the branch average.
The report provides a percentage comparison with the Branch Average only. A percentage comparison with the Company Average is not displayed.
Total row
The Total row applies the same calculations across all event types combined, including event types the driver has not triggered.
Important considerations
Driver comparisons use raw event counts.
Event counts are not adjusted based on miles or hours driven.
All report data reflects the selected filters.
Save a Fleet Safety Report
After applying filters, save the Fleet Safety Report to quickly return to the same report configuration later.
When saving a report:
Apply the filters you want to use.
Click the Save report icon.
Enter a Report Name and optional description.
Select the Date Range the report should use.
Click Save Report.
The filters applied to the Fleet Safety Report are saved with the report.
Schedule a Fleet Safety Report
Reports that need to be reviewed regularly can be scheduled for automatic delivery.
When saving the report, select Schedule this report to run automatically. Then:
Add recipients. Select the T3 users who should receive the report.
Choose a frequency. Reports can be delivered every week, every two weeks, or monthly.
Select the first report date. Choose when the first scheduled report should be sent.
Review the upcoming schedule. T3 displays the next scheduled report dates based on the selected frequency.
Click Save Report to save the report and its delivery schedule.
T3 will automatically generate and deliver the report according to the saved schedule.
