Preventative Measures

  • Ensure Stable Power Supply: Regularly check the tracker’s connection to the asset to ensure it is secure and free from damage.

  • Monitor Battery Levels: Keep the asset’s battery charged and in good condition to provide consistent power to the tracker.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Inspect the Tracker Connection: Verify that the tracker is securely connected to the asset and that there are no loose or damaged wires.

  2. Check the Asset’s Battery: Ensure the battery is fully charged and capable of supplying the required voltage.

  3. Monitor Voltage Levels: Use a multimeter to check the voltage being supplied to the tracker. If it is below the required threshold, address the issue with the asset’s power system.

  • The Tracker device was removed from the asset.

  • The Tracker device lost external power, most likely from a dead battery on the asset or a kill switch that cuts power to a Tracker device. - Voltage drops due to loose connections or fluctuations in the asset’s electrical system can also cause the tracker to lose power.
