Clocking In / Clocking Out for Time Tracking
Employees can use the Time Cards features in the Link mobile app to track their time. Additionally, the app is designed to assign employees' recorded hours towards tasks such as Work Orders, Work Codes, Jobs, and Assets. Knowing the time and labor hours for specific work helps companies stay organized and understand the costs of projects. For more information, see Assigning Time to a Work Event.
From the main menu in Link, click Time Cards.
Tap the Clock In button from your Time Card.
Select a Work Order, Job, Branch, Asset, or Work Code for applying your time.
Click Save. You are clocked in, and time is recorded to your indicated work.
To clock out, open the Link app, and select Time Cards.
Tap the Clock out button.
Taking a Break
From the main menu in Link, click Time Cards.
Click Take a Break from your Time Card. The time tracking towards the Work Order and/or Job will pause and now be applied towards a break.
Once your break is finished, click Time Cards from the menu.
Click End Break from your Time Card. The time tracking towards your break will end and now be applied towards the Work Order, Branch, and/or Job.
Change Work
The Change Work feature allows you to easily switch tracking time from one Work Order to another while staying clocked in.
From the main menu in Link, click Time Cards when clocked in.
Click Change Work from your Time Card or select Work > (middle of the screen).
Select a Work Order, Job, Branch, or Work Code for applying your time.
Click Save. You are clocked in and time is being logged to the selected Work Order, Job, and/or Work Code.
Repeat the steps above and click Clock Out once you are done with your shift.
