Adding Warranty Coverage Information to an Asset

Instructions on how to keep track of any existing warranty information for your fleet in T3.

Knowing warranty details can mean money saved in your pocket. With T3, you can load existing OEM warranty information of your purchased equipment to ensure when something goes wrong; you are covered. Follow the steps to set up your warranty coverage in T3.

Loading the Warranty to T3

  1. Log in to T3.

  2. Select Company from the left navigation menu.

  3. Select Account across the top.

4. Scroll down to Warranties. Select the New Warranty button.

5. Type in a name for the Warranty and select the Add Warranty Item. Enter the Description and Length.

6. Select the Add button and then click Save.

Assigning the Warranty to an Asset

Next, you'll need to assign the warranty to an asset.

  1. From T3, select Map, and then locate the asset from the list by clicking the asset to expand the card.

  2. Select the Details button.

  3. Select the Service tab.

  4. Scroll to the Asset Warranty section and select the dropdown arrow to find the warranty.

5. Select the Assign button.

6. The Warranty is successfully added to the asset.

Adding the Asset's Placed in Service date

Lastly, you'll need to indicate when the warranty began to ensure the coverage period is accurately reflected in T3.

  1. From T3, select Map, and then locate the asset from the list by clicking the asset to expand the card.

  2. Select the Details button.

  3. Select the Edit tab.

  4. Scroll to the Placed in Service date and open the calendar picker to find the date on which the warranty service began.

5. Select Save to save your changes.

6. Once saved, the warranty expiration details will display in the Work Order view in T3's Service feature.
