Knowing warranty details can mean money saved in your pocket. With T3, you can load existing OEM warranty information of your purchased equipment to ensure when something goes wrong; you are covered. Follow the steps to set up warranty coverage in T3.

Creating a Warranty

Users with the proper permissions can create a new warranty by going to T3 Company > Account and selecting New Warranty.

  1. Log in to T3.

  2. Select Company from the left navigation menu.

  3. Select Account across the top.

  4. Scroll down to Warranties. Select the New Warranty button.

  • Enter the Warranty Name and Warranty Item Description.

  • Specify the coverage using miles, hours, days, months, or years.

  • (Optional) Select Secondary Coverage, if applicable. The system will honor whichever threshold, usage or time, is reached first. Note: Coverage options are limited by the first coverage entered. You cannot add two time-based coverages or two usage-based coverages.

  • Select Done to add the item or Add another warranty item to continue. The item can also be removed if you've made a mistake.

  • Select Next to move forward in the workflow.

Configure the Warranty

Attach Documentation

Upload supporting files that will be accessible in Asset Details and Work Orders. These can be DOC, PDF, JPG, PNG, or GIF, with a maximum size of 25 MB. The documents can be added via drag and drop or selecting the file from your computer.

Assign Assets

Assets can be assigned in two ways:

From Warranty Creation

  • Search for and select one or multiple assets. Selected assets will appear in a list with the option to remove them using the trash icon.

  • Adjust Hours, Miles, and Start Date as needed for each asset for when the coverage will begin.

  • To apply the same "start" values to multiple assets, toggle Use defaults to ON. Enter your defaults and select Apply to Selected or Apply to All.

From an Individual Asset

Warranties can also be added directly to a single asset by going to Asset Details > Service tab and selecting the option to add a warranty.

View Warranty Thresholds in Asset Details

Warranty information appears in an asset’s Service tab and in the asset’s Work Order.

  • A red X indicates the warranty has expired.

  • A green check indicates the asset is still covered.

Expanding a warranty displays documentation, visual coverage indicators, start dates, hours, and mileage thresholds.

Users can also Edit or Unassign a warranty.

View Warranty Thresholds in Work Orders

The warranty section within a Work Order shows coverage indicators and attached documentation so users can easily determine whether the asset is still under warranty.

The same information appears in the Link mobile app.
